Ards Vets Donate New Trophy

Ards Bowling Club presented the VBL with a new trophy to replace the current Winners Trophy of Zone B Section 3.

The new trophy will be referred to as the Bob Armstrong in Memoriam Trophy.

Ards member Noel Morrison was a close personal friend of Bob and actually was a pupil at the school were Bob sat on the Board of Governors and thus he was very keen to contribute something to the VBL in memory of Bob.

The VBL Executive Committee are absolutely delighted with this gesture.

The Cup that this new trophy replaces will not be discarded but will however used at the end of the league campaign for a Knockout Competition involving those teams in Zone B Section 3 and 3A from next year,
