VBL vs NIPBA Challenge Match 2026

The Annual Challenge match between the VBL and NIPBA Vets was contested at Old Bleach Bowling Club this afternoon. The weather was gloriously sunny, warm afternoon and the Old Bleach green as usual superb.

The VBL won last year’s close encounter but the Provincials stamped their authority and determination not to go home without the coveted silverware from very first end, winning 103 to 67.

Many thanks to VBL representatives from clubs, Old Bleach 1, Old Bleach 2, Ward Park Utd, Ulster Transport and Whitehead. Also, to Brookgreen, City of Derry 1, City of Derry 2, Cookstown, Ballymoney and Limavady. NIPBA Vets President, Roy Calvin thanked VBL for their hospitality and Old Bleach BC for hosting the match and the Ladies for the excellent buffet afterwards.
